Navigating a thesaurus
- A thesaurus is a simple and straightforward implementation of the "concept space".
- A thesaurus can be represented as a
graph:
- nodes = thesaurus terms
- edges = semantic associations
- User must be able to:
- display the graph
- filtering it according to the associations relevant to her/his interest
- move on the graph (getting explanations and images, if significant)
- select terms to use for querying
